What we did
This customer wanted a stove with real presence that would not make the room feel heavy. The PureVision BPVR is a cylindrical stove, and raising it on a tall pedestal lifts the flame window up to eye level, so you see the fire from anywhere in the room.
The glass hearth keeps the floor visible, which is a clever way to meet the hearth requirement without breaking up the parquet below. Behind the stove, a full height panel of oyster stone cladding gives the flame a natural backdrop and protects the wall, with the slate tones picking up the greys in the stove body.
